The National Geographic Museum of Exploration transforms inspiration from nature into highly complex architectural forms. Sweeping curves, sculptural ceilings and intricate finishes required extensive BIM coordination, scanning, digital fabrication and prefabrication to turn ambitious designs into buildable systems. Working across new and historic structures, the project team combined advanced technology with careful planning and collaboration, demonstrating how complex geometry can be coordinated, fabricated and constructed with greater precision and predictability.
