/ DOME FRAMING SYSTEM COMPONENTS

The Radius Track dome framing system kit-of-parts typically includes:

• The compression ring at the top and the tension/base ring at the bottom of the dome

• Structural ribs and angle clips that connect to both the top & bottom rings

• Rib cross-bracing if reinforcement is required

• Pre-cut plywood sheathing as required

Over our 20+ years of exclusive expertise developing framing systems for curved and complex surfaces, we have delivered a wide range of unique dome solutions.

• Above the dome: we have accommodated cupolas, finials, oculus, skylights and similar design elements and their specific mounting needs specified in construction documents

• Below the dome: we have developed systems to attach to different mounting surfaces such as concrete, steel decking and continuous rolled beam or tube.

• Large domes: our box beam truss solutions deliver structural capacity for larger domes, including 70’-0” diameter domes with special features.

• Hybrid domes: domes larger than 45’ in diameter may also be constructed using a combination of Radius Track cold-formed steel infill framing within red-iron structural steel members.
