Until recently, drywall contractors
had charge a premium because curved walls were a headache
to build. Now, with steel framing solutions from Radius Track,

THE REVOLUTION BEGAN
WITH TRACK BENDER.
In 1996, Radius Track introduced
an ingenious tool that created
curved tracks and studs in less
than a minute. Instead of cutting
and strapping the steel by hand, drywall contractors used
:: TRACK
BENDER :: to shape ordinary
C-channels quickly and accurately
to any radius.
At first, Track Bender was a well-
kept secret among contractors who wanted a competitive edge.
Projects that normally took two men two weeks of cutting and
strapping were finished in a single day.
Even today, Track Bender is the most cost-effective way to
bend steel studs and track accurately and consistently on
the job site. Building curved walls with Track Bender costs
about 10% more than making straight walls.

OUR STRENGTH IS
THE SPECIAL BEND.
Track Bender proved that our patented bending process not only worked,
but also saved a lot of time and money. So in 1997 Radius Track
expanded its capabilities to offer :: PRE-CURVED
TRACK AND STUDS :: that featured the same bending process
in heavier gauges. Radius Track began supplying structural custom
curving members for high-rise buildings in 1999.
Over the years, the company’s
pre-formed services continued
to expand. People liked the convenience of steel framing delivered
already curved to the site and the assurance that all pieces were
curved accurately and consistently to spec.
For jobs of all sizes, any shape, any length, and any gauge, contractors
found that Radius Track’s pre-formed curving was the lowest
installed price per foot. To assure people that Radius Track welcomed
even the smallest jobs, President Chuck Mears established a policy
that holds true today: “We won’t ship less than one piece!”

Radius Track always provided technical assistance to help determine
the exact requirements for an application. As projects grew more
complex, the company also began offering design and structural engineering

ship the pieces with instructions for easy assembly on the job site.

on the Miami Children’s Museum. The drywall contractor
